Assistive technology for visually impaired
Visual impaired is defined as " The consequence of a functional loss of vision rather than the eye disorder itself". There are four major types of visual impairments. They are
- Partially blind
- Low vision
- Legally blind
- Totally blind
There are many causes of birth of children with visual impairment. Some of the causes are listed below
- Transfer of genes associated from the parents
- Carelessness adopted by pregnant mother
- Unfavorable Conditions .i.e. malnutrition, accident etc
- Eye infections and eye diseases
- Improper lights
