Learning disability is defined by the department of health as a " Significant reduced ability to understand new Or complex information, to learn new skills ( impaired intelligence), with a reduced ability to cope independently ( impaired social functioning), which started before adulthood. "

Learning disabilities are classified into four major types. They are as follows
- Dyslexia
- Dysgraphia
- Dyscalculia
- Dyspraxia
Causes of learning disabilities
- Genetic factor
- Physiological factor
- Environmental factor
DYSLEXIA
- Disability in reading. It affects the reading and related language - based processing skills.
DYSGRAPHIA
- Disability in writing. It affects a person's handwriting ability and fine motor skills. To clear identification of these types of peole see the below image
- Disability in calculations. It affects a person's ability to understand numbers and learn math facts.
DYSPRAXIA
- This is the type of disorder which causes problems with movement and coordination, language and speech.
These are all some of the specific learning disabilities. Continuous practice should be given to write the words with out mistakes. And different types of teaching strategies should be used to improve their functional and academic skills.
